As a teenager I was obsessed with fishing. Rivers, lakes, the sea, I didn't care where. I would spend hours just sitting happily on the bank - a townie soaking up the tranquility of the countryside. So, when I saw this scene the other day, it took me back more years than I care to think about and made me want to try and capture some of that inner-peace in paint.
