Bangor is on the edge of Snowdonia and from the highest points you can just about see the mountains. But a short drive across the Menai bridge and you are on the island of Anglesey and from here you really get a wonderful panoramic view of the mountains. This painting is looking across the Menai Strait from the picturesque costal town of Beaumaris.
